WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI- The West Plains Public Library has announced that it is one of 750 grantees selected to receive a community challenge grant from AARP’s Liveable Communities initiative as well as AARP- Missouri.
The Liveable Communities grant puts the library on a map of over 2500 grantees who have either already accepted a challenge grant and just over 1030 AARP- Age Friendly Members. In the state of Missouri, The Library is recognized as one of the only Libraries to have currently received a current, AARP Challenge grant.
Funds from the grant will be used to create a Storywalk along a paved path at The Butler Children’s Park in West Plains for both children and their caregivers to enjoy.
