Cabool Man Facing Theft Charges After Being Caught on Video

A Texas County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he was caught on home‑security video stealing a lawn mower from a rural property.

According to a probable cause statement filed June 23, Deputy Paul Nawrath was dispatched after the victim reported her Blink cameras had recorded a man driving onto her property and walking around her residence. The statement notes she later “observed the male put her Hart push mower into the rear of his black Dodge Durango then leave the property.”

Sergeant Reuben Salazar identified the suspect in the footage as Lloyd Hill. Deputy Nawrath wrote that he also reviewed the video and “observed Hill driving a Dodge Durango… [and] place[d] it into the back of the vehicle.”

Deputies made contact with Hill at his residence. The report states Hill first denied taking the mower, but after being advised he was under arrest and read his Miranda rights, he admitted he had “messed up” and told deputies he had sold the mower. The mower was later recovered.

Hill is charged with second‑degree burglary, and stealing his bond was set at $4000. The case was electronically filed in Texas County on June 23.
