Following a detailed investigation, the Carter County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Willard Campbell of Ellsinore, Missouri, in connection with multiple severe offenses involving a child less than 14 years old.
Campbell was initially taken into custody on June 25, 2026, and placed on a 24-hour hold after investigators conducted interviews with the suspect.
A warrant has been issued charging Campbell with the following offenses:
1.Four (4) Counts: Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy (Deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years of age – Aggravated Sexual Offense) – Felony
2. One (1) Count: Child Molestation in the First Degree – Class A Felony
3. One (1) Count: Statutory Rape or Attempted Statutory Rape in the First Degree (With a person less than 14 years of age) – Felony
