The Cardinals knocked off the National League East-leading Braves 5-3 Tuesday night behind timely power and a strong start from Matthew Liberatore. Nathan Church broke the game open with a three-run homer in a four-run fourth inning after Nelson Velázquez had a solo shot earlier. After four rough starts in June, Liberatore closed out the month with his fourth win by striking out nine while allowing just one hit and one run over five innings, and Riley O’Brien closed it out for his 21st save of the season. The Cardinals are 44-38.
