Baxter County deputies arrested a 32‑year‑old man on a felony battery charge after a shooting early Friday morning on County Road 712.
The call came in at 2:13 AM, and Deputy Isaac Archey reached the scene two minutes later, finding a man on the ground bleeding heavily. Archey provided first aid until EMS arrived.

The victim, suffering a gunshot wound, was taken to Baxter Health and later airlifted. The victim identified Nathan Foster as the shooter. Deputies located Foster at a nearby residence and took him into custody. A formal First‑Degree Battery charge is expected. The case remains under investigation.
