WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Missouri State University-West Plains has announced the addition of Clint Hinds to its agriculture program as an instructor.
A graduate of College of the Ozarks, Hinds earned bachelor’s degrees in agronomy with an emphasis in forage and crop production and animal science with an emphasis in animal husbandry.
Hinds has co-managed his family’s approximately 700-acre farming operation in West Plains since 2019. The diversified operation includes cow-calf production, hay production and row crop farming.
In addition to his farming experience, Hinds has worked as a custom applicator for Hinds Lime & Fertilizer, where he applies fertilizer, lime and seed using precision agriculture technology. He also served as student manager for both the agronomy and beef farm operations at College of the Ozarks, supervising student employees and assisting with crop establishment, pesticide application, forage harvest and livestock management.
Hinds also demonstrated a commitment to agricultural education through several teaching assistant appointments in precision agriculture, crop science and animal science laboratories, as well as participation in agriculture in the classroom.
His research experience includes presentations on beef cattle performance, forage management, livestock nutrition and environmental chemistry.
He is an active member of Farm Bureau, Delta Tau Alpha and the American Angus Association.
