The Vanzant community is gearing up for a major celebration as the annual Vanzant Picnic marks its 60th anniversary while also honoring America’s 250th year of independence. The two‑day event is set for July 10–11, 2026, with activities running from 6 to 10 p.m. each night on State Highway W, about a mile off South 95.
This year’s picnic features a full entertainment lineup. Friday’s schedule includes performances by Cornerstone Dance, Bella Brown, Shine, The Farnum Family, and Whetstone. Saturday’s slate brings The Three Cs, The McCunes, The Baker & Graber Brothers, and David Hisel/Whetstone, followed by a 9:30 p.m. fireworks show.
Organizers say families can expect games for all ages, concessions, raffles and drawings, and plenty of traditional picnic fare. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and friends to enjoy the festivities.
