High School Football Jamborees will take place on Fri August 21st West Plains will be in the Rolla Jamboree, Mountain Grove will host a Jamboree with Willow Springs, and Thayer. The Salem Tigers will play in the Sullivan Jamboree, Houston will go to the Clever Jamboree and Liberty will be in the Sarcoxie Jamboree. Again the Jamborees will be held on Friday Augusts 21st.

The 2026 West Plains Showdown Volleyball Tournament has set the date for some great volleyball action at the West Plains Civic Center. Saturday Sept 12th and games will start at 9am. Several area Teams will compete if your high school team would like to compete in this volleyball show down contact Zizzer head volleyball coach Hailey Beazley.
A 2-day 36-hole one man scramble will be held at the Mountain View Municipal Golf Course on Fri July 24th and finish on Sat the 25th. Tee times for both days will be 10am. The entry fee is 100 dollars. Sign up inside the pro-shop. Cash for hole prizes. 50/50 contest skins game. Tournament limited to first 56 players.
The Annual Zizzer Football Dinner and Auction will be Friday August 14th at the Middle School FEMA Shelter doors open at 530 event starts at 6pm. Single ticket is $25 and a Table for 6 is $250. For tickets check the Zizzer team facebook page.
