A Mountain Grove man is facing four misdemeanor charges after Wright County deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Thornhill Drive earlier this week. According to a probable cause statement filed Tuesday, Chief Deputy K. Akers obtained and executed a warrant on July 6, 2026 at Thornhill Drive, where five individuals were detained.
One of them, Ashton Shane James, was taken into custody. The report states that James was armed with a loaded firearm at the time of his detainment. Deputies say James admitted to conduct that led investigators to request charges under RSMo 566.111 — Sexual Conduct with an Animal.
His bond has been set at $2,500.
