A Mountain Grove man was injured early Tuesday in a single‑vehicle crash on U.S. 60 at Fordland.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at 3:10 a.m. when a westbound 2024 Nissan Kicks swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The vehicle ran off the right side of the highway and struck several trees.

The driver, a 24‑year‑old man from Mountain Grove, sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMS to Cox South in Springfield.
