Last month we recognized Emma as one of the three recent Howell County Sheriff’s Office graduates of the Drury Law Enforcement Academy. Thanks to Emma’s hard work, for the first time in the history of the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, we have reached 100% Sex Offender Registry compliance.

This remarkable achievement is a direct reflection of Emma’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to ensuring our office fulfills this critical public safety responsibility.

Howell County Sheriff’s Office currently has 163 active registered sex offenders. Maintaining compliance means ensuring that each registered offender is meeting the legal requirements established by Missouri law, including keeping current address information, employment information, vehicle information, and other required registration details up to date.

Compliance checks help law enforcement verify the accuracy of registry information and hold offenders accountable when they fail to meet these legal obligations.

A current and accurate sex offender registry is an important tool that helps law enforcement investigate crimes, monitor offenders, and provide the public with reliable information about registered offenders living and working in their communities.

Achieving 100% compliance is no small task and requires consistent follow-up, detailed recordkeeping, and strong communication with offenders and partnering agencies. Emma’s hard work, attention to detail, and persistence have helped make this milestone possible. Her efforts demonstrate the dedication of the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to protecting our community and maintaining the highest standards of public safety.

Please join us in congratulating Emma Roberts on this outstanding accomplishment!
