Kimberly Ruth Benson

Kimberly Ruth Benson, daughter of the late Lyle and Margaret (Smith) Benson, was born August 25, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, and departed this life on July 13, 2026, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 60 years, 10 months, and 18 days.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Kimberly moved to Missouri when she was just six years old. Hartville quickly became her home, and she spent the next fifty years building a peaceful, content life here. She lived with her parents, sharing in their daily lives and caring for them until their passing.

Kimberly was a remarkably joyful person who greeted the world with a constant, warm smile. In her youth, she loved to travel and explore new places until health challenges eventually limited her journeys. Embracing life as a homebody, she found immense happiness in the simplest things, whether she was settling in to watch a favorite movie or playing with her cherished cats.

Above all else, Kimberly treasured her family. She lived for the moments they spent together, finding joy during the holidays that would bring them all together. Her bright spirit, gentle nature, and unforgettable smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Margaret Benson, two brothers, Lyle and Larry Benson, one sister, Beverly Benson, and one niece, Michelle Ipock.

She is survived by one sister, Marlene Sawyers and husband, Roger, two brothers, Ron Benson and wife, Vicki, and Tim Benson, one sister-in-law, Faye Benson, nephew, Tony Benson, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Kimberly was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
