Lori Ann (Klotz) Floyd of Houston, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on July 14, 2026, at the age of 57.
Lori was born in Houston, Missouri, to Michael and Judy (Daugherty) Klotz on August 28, 1968. Though life took her to other places, her heart was always in Texas County. Some of her fondest memories were of riding horses and playing volleyball in Raymondville.
Above all else, Lori’s greatest joy in life was motherhood. Her lifelong dream of becoming a mother was fulfilled with the births of her children, Lorin and Braden. Her heart and family grew even larger when she married her husband, Stanley Floyd, on February 12, 2006, lovingly embracing his children, Garen and Chanda Floyd, as her own.
Lori will be remembered most for her fierce, unconditional devotion as a mother—not just to her own children, but to anyone who walked through her door. She possessed a nurturing spirit, always ready to set an extra plate at the dinner table and make space in her home and heart for anyone in need of comfort, a warm meal, or a safe place to land.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Floyd; her children, Lorin McKnight, Braden (Michell) McKnight, Garen (Jordan) Floyd, and Chanda (Floyd) Neighbors; her beloved grandchildren, Marlon Neighbors, Wyatt Floyd, and Liam McKnight; her father, Mike (Pam) Klotz; stepmother, Rhonda (Miguel) Gaytan; sister, Denise Finn; brother, Daniel Klotz; nephews, Adam Klotz and Dillon Finn; and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends who will miss her warmth and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Daugherty; her brother, David Klotz; and her grandparents, E.L. and Peggy Daugherty, and Rudy and Thelma Klotz.
