Louise Nadine Wilkerson went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of July 17, 2026 in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Louise was born on December 5, 1942 in Maplewood, Missouri to Henry and Birda (North) Click. She grew up in Maplewood, Missouri; Hocomo, Missouri; and Brentwood, Missouri where she graduated highschool in 1960. After high school, Louise worked at Hussman Refrigeration and Blue Cross.
On March 5, 1966, Louise married Thomas “Tom” Frank Wilkerson, and a few years later, they welcomed their first child, “Tommy”. Louise became a homemaker, and she and Tom went on to have three more children, Anna, Michael and Matthew who was born to Heaven.
In 1975, Louise and Tom moved to a farm outside of West Plains, Missouri. There, they raised their family. Louise went on to own various businesses with her husband including Pottersville Store, Two-Way Cafe, Tom’s Barber Shop, Once Upon a Time Antiques and a rental business. In addition, Louise worked for a variety of employers in the West Plains area including Jeffers Vet Supply, West Plains Memorial Hospital (Ozarks Medical Center), and Contel telephone company. After moving to Auxvasse, Missouri, Louise worked at the State Hospital as a medical transcriptionist.
Louise was a steadfastly loyal and praying wife, mother, and grandmother. She stood by her husband Tom’s side when he battled lung cancer. She was also encouraging and supportive to her children and grandchildren. She had the heart of a servant, serving at one time as an Assemblies of God Missionettes leader. As a Christian, she was quick to pray for someone and share the welcoming love of The Lord. She was also quick to make friends.
Louise is survived by three children: Thomas Wilkerson Jr. (Nicole) of Jefferson City, Missouri; Anna Corman (Gene) of Pomona, Missouri; Michael Wilkerson of Redding, California; and a sister, Juanita Flechsig. Six grandchildren: Emily Wilkerson Loesch (Stephen), Trevor Wilkerson, Chris Corman, Hunter Corman, Molly Corman, and Weston Wilkerson, along with two great-grandchildren: Evie and Sawyer Loesch. She is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
Louise is preceeded in death by her husband Tom, her parents Henry Lester Click and Birda Mae (North) Click, a brother, Dean Click, sister Anita Gann, and her infant son Matthew Timothy Wilkerson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Missouri Right to Life
