A Norwood man is facing a felony drug charge after Wright County deputies say methamphetamine was found inside a camper during a July 17 investigation. According to the probable cause statement, deputies responded to 5029 Old Highway 60, Lot 15, after a woman reported harassment by a subject who had a restraining order against her.
Deputies spoke with Bradley Dean Rader, who “displayed many types of furtive behavior, such as swinging his arms, constantly scratching himself, darting eyes, and constantly moving his head as if he were nervous.” Dispatch advised Rader had an active warrant, and he was taken into custody. During transport, deputies say Rader admitted he had used methamphetamine two days earlier and told them “there was methamphetamine on what he believed to be a green plate above the sink of the camper.”
Deputies later searched the camper with consent and located a pink plastic plate containing a crystal‑like substance on the bedding area, along with two baggies holding crystal residue in a cabinet. All items field‑tested positive for methamphetamine.
Rader is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
