(WEST PLAINS, Mo.) Better Newspapers Inc. has announced two leadership promotions, naming Jim Lambert as Market President of Ozark Marketing Company and Beverly Broyles as General Manager of The Ozark Horse Trader and the Douglas County Herald.
Together, Lambert and Broyles bring decades of experience in broadcasting, publishing, operations, and sales, reinforcing Better Newspapers Inc.’s commitment to serving communities across southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.
Jim Lambert Named Market President of Ozark Marketing Company
Lambert brings more than 25 years of experience in radio broadcasting, programming, and management to the role of Market President. Having served as Ozark Marketing Company’s Director of Operations since December 2024, he will now oversee the day-to-day operations, growth, and continued development of the company’s family of radio stations.
Lambert began his career with the company in 2001 with Ozark Radio Network, now Ozark Marketing Company, when he joined KWPM-AM as a weekend air personality. Over the years, he assumed positions of increasing responsibility, serving as Music Director, Program Director, and Lead Program Director while helping shape the programming and sound of the company’s stations.
Listeners across the Ozarks know Lambert as the longtime host of Big Jim’s Big Lunch. His work behind the microphone has been recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association, including the 2025 Best On-Air Talent award for Big Jim’s Big Lunch.
In 2014, Lambert moved into station management as Operations Manager, where he spent nearly a decade leading programming operations, commercial production, staff development, and daily broadcast logistics across the company’s radio group. He returned to executive leadership as Director of Operations in December 2024 before being promoted to Market President.
As Market President, Lambert will continue building on Ozark Marketing Company’s commitment to local broadcasting, community connection, and helping local businesses connect with customers throughout the region.

Beverly Broyles Promoted to General Manager of The Ozark Horse Trader and Douglas County Herald
Beverly Broyles, a media sales professional with more than 25 years of service with the organization, has been named General Manager of The Ozark Horse Trader and the Douglas County Herald. In her new role, Broyles will oversee the operational and commercial leadership of both publications while continuing to support advertising and marketing efforts across Ozark Marketing’s radio, print, digital, and promotional platforms.
Broyles’ career reflects a commitment to local media built from the ground up. She joined the company in 1999 as an administrative assistant and receptionist before expanding her responsibilities into traffic operations, severe weather broadcast coordination, and event management for community parades, fairs, bridal expos, and other special events.
In 2017, Broyles became manager of the inside sales department, leading the team through 2023 before transitioning into outside sales. She was named Sales Manager for The Ozark Horse Trader in 2024 prior to her promotion to General Manager.
