A Graveside Memorial Service for Retired Lieutenant Commander Dennis George Robbins, Age 85 of West Plains, Missouri will be held on Friday, August 7th, 2026 in The Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri.
Lieutenant Commander (Ret) Dennis George Dobbins, 85, West Plains, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at NHC HealthCare.
He was born March 13, 1941, at Denver, Colorado, to Ulious George Dobbins and Myrtle Marie Graham. Dennis was a veteran, having retired from the United States Navy. Lieutenant Commander Dobbins served his country for many years where he earned several medals and commendations. He also served time in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, Dennis went on to have a successful career in Information Technology where he became the Vice President of IT. He loved computers and cars. Dennis enjoyed going to car show events and was a past member of the West Plains Car Club. Dennis was an avid proponent of our military veterans and actively supported the VFW as well as those in need through the Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by three children, Tamara Brower, Pomona, Missouri, Tannia Chernivec and husband, Mike, Lubbock, Texas and Richard Dobbins and wife, Cathy, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; eight grandchildren, Autumn Cash, Julie Ann Dobbins, Shannon Dobbins, Walker Dobbins, Travis Dobbins and wife, Lacie, Patrick Dobbins, Jennifer Thurman and husband, Wes and Nicholas Rosansky; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one son-in-law, Louie Brower, two brothers, James and Richard Dobbins and one sister, Sandra Hooker, preceded him in death.
