THAYER, Mo. — The Thayer Police Department is mourning the loss of its first K9, Foust. Foust served as a valued partner to the department and assisted agencies across Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas throughout his career.

After retiring, Foust lived with his former handler, Assistant Chief Martin, spending his days playing with children, tagging along on fishing trips, and—true to form—patrolling his yard to keep the critters out.
The department says Foust will be greatly missed.
“You’re a good boy, Foust. Rest easy, buddy. We’ll take it from here.”
