A two‑vehicle crash Thursday morning in West Plains resulted in moderate damage to both vehicles and minor injuries to one driver, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 11:02 a.m. at the intersection of Bill Virdon and Jan Howard. Troopers report that a 2019 Toyota Highlander, driven by a 65‑year‑old West Plains woman, was attempting a left‑hand turn when a 2021 Nissan Frontier failed to stop for a red light and struck the Highlander. The Frontier was driven by a 51‑year‑old West Plains woman.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. The 65‑year‑old driver of the Highlander suffered minor injuries and was transported by South Howell Ambulance for treatment.
