A four‑vehicle crash early Wednesday morning left two men injured on Missouri 76, about five miles west of Goodhope, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened at 5:45 a.m. on August 5 when a westbound 2013 Chevrolet pickup attempted to pass another vehicle near a hill crest and struck an eastbound 2002 Ford F‑350 nearly head‑on. The pickup then hit a westbound Jeep Wrangler, sending both vehicles off the right side of the roadway. The Jeep struck a tree, and a fourth vehicle, a Ram 1500, was hit by debris.
The 23‑year‑old Ford driver from Ava sustained minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Mercy ER in Ozark. The 74‑year‑old Jeep driver, also from Ava, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Cox Ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.
