AVA, Mo. — VFW Auxiliary 5993 in Ava will host a benefit breakfast Saturday, Aug. 8, with all proceeds supporting the 2026 Wreaths Across America observance at Ava Cemetery.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast will cost $10 per person. Each wreath sponsorship costs $17, meaning the proceeds from every two breakfast purchases will provide one wreath, with an additional $3 applied toward the next sponsorship.
Guests may also make additional donations toward the wreath campaign during the breakfast.
Organizers said approximately 600 known veterans are buried at Ava Cemetery. The Auxiliary’s goal is to secure enough sponsorships to place a wreath at every veteran’s grave during the Christmas season.
Community members are invited to attend, enjoy breakfast and help honor local veterans through the annual wreath-laying program.
