Former NFL players Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgeral, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri and Roger Craig were inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame over the weekend.
Brees was a second round pick of the San Diego Chargers who went on to play 20 seasons in the NFL. He played five years in San Diego before going to the New Orleans Saints for 15 years. He won a Super Bowl in New Orleans and retired with the second most passing yards (80,358) and second most passing touchdowns (571) in NFL history.
Fitzgerald was the third overall pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2004 and spent his entire 17-year career with them. His 1,432 receptions are the second most in NFL history. He finished his career with 17,492 receiving yards which is the second most in NFL history and his 121 touchdown catches are sixth all time.
Kuechly was drafted in the first round by the Carolina Panthers in 2012 and at the age of 35 is the second youngest player ever inducted into the Hall Of Fame. He was a five-time All Pro linebacker, won the 2012 Defensive Rookie of the Year and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.
Craig played running back in the NFL for 11 seasons with the first eight being with the San Francisco 49ers. He rushed for over 8,000 yards in his career but became the first player ever to rush for over 1,000 yards and have over 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.
Vinatieri who played 24 seasons in the NFL became just the third kicker to get inducted into the Hall Of Fame. He has the NFL record for most made field goals at 599 and most attempted at 715. Vinatieri also won four Super Bowls during his career.
