Alton, MO. – Yesterday, August 9th, a large amount of people experienced a sudden power outage in the Alton area.
Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative stated that 2,073 members were without power as the Alton substation went down. Multiple agencies quickly responded to resolve the issue, including Howell Oregon Electric, ShowMe Power, and Expert Tech. Oregon County Associate Commissioner Jake Parker made special mention of Bobby Wheeler in their efforts to resolve the outage.

The power outage occured during the early evening, and was restored before the evening had ended.
