Royals starter Noah Cameron had gone 25 innings and allowed just one run before the Dodgers scored twice against him in the third. Kansas City has had success against Tarik Skubal and led the new Dodgers ace 3-2 in the sixth before Cameron was pulled with runners on second and third and two outs. John Schreiber came in, walked a batter and then gave up a three-run triple to Max Muncy, putting L-A up 5-3. The Royals tied it on a two-run homer by Kyle Isbel in the seventh, but Freddie Freeman singled home Shohei Ohtani in the bottom of the inning, and that proved to be the difference. The Royals lost 6-5.
