Alton Bank, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, has announced that the City of Alton has received a $110,000 grant through the Member Impact Fund. The matching‑grant program supports community development projects led by FHLB member institutions, with a focus on housing, business growth, and local economic needs.
City officials say the funding will be used to upgrade community parks and public spaces, including new playground equipment, improved landscaping, and enhanced amenities designed to make recreational areas safer, more attractive, and family‑friendly.
