Failure to Stop on Missouri CC Near West Plains Causes Three Vehicle Crash

West Plains, MO. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that one drivers failure to stop lead to a three-vehicle crash and three injured people. 

The Patrol says that this crash took place at 8:15pm on Thursday, August 20th. A Kershaw Skytrimmer tree trimming vehicle was stopped on Highway CC a half-mile west of West Plains to make a left turn, while a Chevy Trailblazer was stopped behind them. A third vehicle, a Honda Ridgeline driven by a 20-year-old Gainesville man, did not stop and impacted the rear of the Trailblazer, which then caused the Trailblazer to skid forward into the Skytrimmer.

The driver of the Trailblazer, a 36-year-old woman from Cabool, was inflicted with moderate injuries. A 51-year-old male passenger from Stillewell also suffered minor injuries.

All three were treated in the aftermath at Ozarks Healthcare. The Ridgeline and the Trailblazer were both totaled in the crash.
