Looking to start the season strong, the Willow Springs Bears travelled to Ash Grove, taking on the young but very good Pirate team.
Willow Springs would score 7 in the first quarter, and played tight defense, but in the 2nd quarter the Bears picked up the scoring and would go into the half with a 22-8 lead.
Unfortunately for the Bears though, Ash Grove would take over in the second half, scoring 16 unanswered points, and would hand the Bears their first loss on the season, by a score of 24-22.
Next up for the Bears, they’ll play their first home game against Skyline.
