AVA, Mo. — Area residents will have an opportunity to receive several free basic health screenings during a Community Health Fair scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, in Ava.
The Douglas County Health Department will provide the screenings from noon to 2 p.m. at Jean’s Healthway, 133 S. Jefferson St.

Free services available during the event will include blood pressure checks, weight measurements, body mass index screenings and blood sugar testing.
The health fair is intended to give community members an easy opportunity to check several common health indicators at no cost.
No admission fee is listed for the event.
