Zizzer soccer gets 2 big wins last night at home vs Greenwood. JV got the night started with a convincing 2-0 win! Zizzers were able to keep possession most of the game. Zizzer defense was solid, and the zizzer midfield was very aggressive and had good off the ball movement and ball pressure. Andy Moore got the night started with a great goal off an assist from Alexis Cruz! A few moments later Landen Legler buried one in the net off an assist from Andy Moore! GK Cale Anselm and the defense with the shutout.
Zizzer Varsity got down early off of a PK goal in the first 5min of the game but settled in and played good team soccer for the next 75 minutes, and came away with a 4-1 win.
The zizzer defense played very connected, smart and consistent, while connecting some good passes up field, which helped lead to the zizzers having 12 shots on frame and some good sequences up top. Zizzer midfield pressured the ball well and had good off the ball movement cutting off passing lanes, and making it difficult for Greenwood to get into a rhythm. Most of all, the zizzer effort, intensity and energy was high. Zizzers set a fast pace & kept that pace with their foot on the gas for most of the game, with very little signs of fatigue, and no cramps.
