A 40-year-old Cabool woman was seriously injured in a crash Monday evening in Laclede County on Highway 17 just south of Elk Road around 7:20 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol she crossed the center of the roadway, then ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.

She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of her injuries. She is facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated.
