Nancy Kay Cummins, daughter of the late Edward and Velma Maxine (Ellis) Hake, was born March 1, 1948, in Wapello, Iowa. She departed this life on September 4, 2026, in Rogersville, Missouri, at the age of 78.
Nancy was united in marriage to Ronald Wayne Cummins on March 7, 1965. Two children were born to this union: Danny and Angela.
Nancy was a great crafter. She handmade several gifts over the years from inappropriately anatomically correct cave man dolls for her sisters-in-law or cabbage patch kids for some of her nieces and nephews. She was an amazing flower arrangement creator as could be seen in the flowers she made for two of her grandkids weddings. She loved to travel with family and friends. She really enjoyed going to the casino and playing those “one armed bandits.” But there was nothing she enjoyed more than taking care of her grandbabies, being with her family, and feeding everyone.
Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Cummins; and two brothers, Sam Hake and Gary Hake.
Nancy is survived by her son, Danny Cummins (Theresa) of Seymour, Missouri; her daughter, Angela Carlberg (Shawn) of Rogersville; five grandchildren, Ethen Carlberg (Gracie), Zoey Finley (Michael), Amanda Thompson, Jessica Aguilar (Danny), and Daniel Cummins (Veronica); great-grandchildren, Lance Aguilar, Gavin Aguilar, Kaydence Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell (Ashton), Riley Mitchell, Amelia Cummins, Johnathan Cummins, Grace Cummins, Remi Cummins, and Michael “Trey” Finley; great-great-grandchildren, Ryder Mitchell, Kaise Mitchell, and Blaine Mitchell; two brothers, Randy Hake (Roxie) and Russell Hake (Cindy); numerous nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
