A free community concert honoring local Veterans is set for Friday, September 18, at the West Plains Civic Center. The Rock to Freedom Concert — A Night to Say Thank You, presented by Veteran Directed Care and Ozark Independent Living, will feature live music, patriotic activities, and opportunities to support area Veterans.
Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together while recognizing those who have served. Southern Edge Band will perform, along with Prowler Roxx, known for their 1980s rock sound. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert begins at 5:30.
Attendees will also have the chance to contribute to the Hero Support Fund, which assists local Veterans in need. A silent auction and quilt raffle will be held throughout the evening.
The concert is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend. Organizers say they hope the event provides a meaningful way for the community to show appreciation and enjoy a night of music and fellowship.
