Willow Springs, MO. – Willow Springs was up and moving early Saturday morning as more than 45 runners and
walkers took to the streets for the annual I Ran From the Cops 5K, held at 8 a.m. on September 12.
This year’s event had the largest turnout in the history of the I Ran From the Cops 5K,
continuing to grow into a fun community tradition. Runners, walkers, families and supporters
came together for a morning of fitness, friendly competition and plenty of laughs, with a few
members of the Willow Springs Police Department making sure nobody got away too easily!

dose of fun to the morning.
The Chamber also wants to thank everyone who participated, whether you ran, walked,
cheered from the sidelines or helped behind the scenes. Events like this don’t happen without
the support of our community, and seeing more than 45 people come out for this year’s race
was pretty special.
The I Ran From the Cops 5K is a fundraiser benefiting the Willow Springs Police Department
and the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s always fun to see our community come together for this event,” said Willow Springs
Chamber Executive Director Kim McCormick. “This year’s turnout was the biggest we’ve ever
had, and that’s pretty exciting to see. It’s a little exercise, a little competition and a whole lot of
fun, and having our officers out there chasing everyone just makes it better. We are grateful to
every participant, sponsor and volunteer who helped make this year’s event such a success.”
The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce appreciates the continued support of the
community and looks forward to bringing even more events and activities to Willow Springs.
