Mountain Home, AR. – In accordance with Eli’s Law, that was signed into effect in April of last year, the Mountain Home School system has stated they will begin installing audio recording devices in areas designated as multiple-occupancy changing areas.
This installation was made possible through the same funds that have added to additional security cameras on school grounds. Through Eli’s Law, this action is required by public schools in Arkansas by the start of the 2027-2028 school year, and is intended as a method to prevent bullying.
The audio recorded through these devices is not subject to request by the general public, and may only be requested by the school, or parents/guardians.
No audio devices have been nor will be placed in restrooms, and signs have been placed where these devices are present.
