A two‑vehicle crash on Missouri Route CC, four miles west of West Plains, injured one driver late Thursday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:20 p.m. when a westbound 2002 Chevrolet S‑10 pulled onto the roadway and was struck in the rear by a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Colorado.
The Colorado’s driver, an 80‑year‑old woman from Gainesville, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Air Evac to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The S‑10’s driver, a 67‑year‑old man from West Plains, was not injured and traveled to Ozarks Healthcare by private vehicle. Both vehicles were totaled and removed by local towing services.
