Tiger Watch: Weekly Updates on Mizzou Tigers in the NFL

Mizzou football has a total of 29 former student-athletes on NFL rosters with six players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, led by second-round picks DE Zion Young (45th overall, Baltimore Ravens) and LB Josiah Trotter (46th overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

DT Chris McClellan (Round 3, 77th overall, Green Bay Packers) and OL Keagen Trost (Round 3, 93rd overall, LA Rams) heard their names called the following day and made it four picks in the first three rounds. WR Kevin Coleman Jr. (Round 5, 177th overall, Miami Dolphins) and CB Toriano Pride Jr. (Round 7, 220th overall, Buffalo Bills) made it six total selections for Mizzou – tied for the most picks in the Drinkwitz era (2024).

Week One Updates

Josiah Trotter (LB) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Totaled 11 tackles, a sack, two TFL and a 38-yard pick six
  • first player in franchise history to record a pick-six in his NFL debut and the first in the NFL since 2023
  • Only player in NFL history with a sack and pick six in their debut
  • His performance also marked the first time a player recorded a sack, an interception and five-plus tackles in their NFL debut since TJ Watt did it in 2017

Luther Burden III (WR) – Chicago Bears

  • Five catches on five targets for 63 yards
  • Averaged 12.6 yards per receptions with a long of 24 yards
  • Played 73% of offensive snaps

Drew Lock (QB) – Seattle Seahawks

  • 16-of-22 (.727) for 187 yards and one touchdown
  • Two rush attempts for 13 total yards

Armand Membou (OL) – New York Jets

  • 100% of the snaps on offense at right tackle while giving up zero sacks
  • Team totaled 152 yards on the ground (3.9 avg) and two rushing touchdowns

 

 

Isaiah McGuire (DE – Cleveland Browns) and Jordan Elliott (DT – Tennessee Titans) both earned two tackles in their season openers. Chris McClellan (DT – Green Bay Packers) and Darius Robinson (DT – Arizona Cardinals) each recorded a tackle in week one.

Harrison Mevis (PK – Los Angeles Rams) went 1/1 on extra points attempts.
