Dorothy Lee McGaughy, born June 27, 1938, passed away on September 14, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, strength, and selfless devotion.
A devoted mother of five, Dorothy endured the heartbreaking loss of her youngest daughter, Toni Renee, in 1969. Throughout her life, she cared faithfully for those she loved, remaining by their side until the very end. She possessed the heart of a saint, remarkable inner strength, and a style entirely her own—she rarely went anywhere without her high heels.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Kim (Mike) Kerridge, Harold (Nancy) DeRusha, Jeffrey DeRusha, James (John) DeRusha, and Tina Wingate; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her endless love, the lives she touched, and the family she held so dearly. Dorothy did it all with grace—and she did it all in high heels. She is now reunited with her beloved Toni and all those who have passed before her.
