The Royals lost to Pittsburgh 4-3 Sunday, completing a three-game sweep by the Pirates. Kansas City took a 3-2 lead in the seventh when Vinnie Pasquantino hit a two-run homer, but Pittsburgh went ahead on Rafael Flores’ two-run homer off Nate Pearson. The Royals had the tying run on third in the ninth, but Isaac Collins flew out to end the game.
Michael Wacha pitched into the 6th and gave up two runs while striking out five but walking four.
