City of West Plains Electric crews will begin replacing ten utility poles along County Road 1770 starting Monday, September 28. The work will begin between Sunset Terrace and County Road 1280 and continue north over the next two weeks.
During the project, motorists can expect intermittent lane closures and are urged to use caution and avoid the area when possible. After the poles are replaced, crews will upgrade power lines and transfer services to the new infrastructure, which will require temporary outages. Planned outage information will be shared in advance on the West Plains Utilities Facebook page.
City officials say the project is part of ongoing efforts to improve grid reliability and strengthen aging infrastructure against severe weather.
