Ozarks Healthcare is partnering with communities across the region to make prevention and healthy living more accessible, bringing essential vaccination services directly to local workplaces and schools as flu season approaches.
Through the end of October, Ozarks Healthcare Pharmacy staff will provide on-site flu vaccination clinics for local businesses and schools that have a minimum of ten participants. Clinics can be held in a variety of spaces, making it convenient for organizations to bring vaccination services directly to their employees or staff.
“Bringing flu vaccinations directly to local workplaces and schools makes it easier for people to get protected without having to take additional time out of their day,” Melynni Yarber, Ozarks Healthcare Retail Pharmacy Director, said. “We’re happy to work with organizations to make the process as convenient as possible.”
Organizations interested in scheduling an on-site flu vaccination clinic can contact pharmacist Scott Mahan at Ozarks Healthcare Pharmacy’s 307 Kentucky Ave. location at 417-256-7533. Clinics are available through the end of October and require a minimum of ten vaccinations.
“With my busy schedule, having Ozarks Healthcare pharmacists come directly to West Plains Schools made getting vaccinated easy and convenient,” Dr. Ashley Cooley, West Plains Schools Activities Director, said. “I appreciate having this opportunity to help me stay healthy during the upcoming sick season.”
For those who prefer to visit a pharmacy, flu vaccinations are also available on a walk-in basis at Ozarks Healthcare’s Pharmacy locations in West Plains, Mountain Grove, Gainesville, and Thayer during regular pharmacy hours.
“We know that finding time to get a flu shot can be a challenge, especially for busy employees and families,” Scott Mahan, Ozarks Healthcare Kentucky Avenue Pharmacy Manager, said. “By bringing vaccinations directly to businesses and schools, we’re able to make it easier for more people to get protected while helping organizations support the health and well-being of their employees and staff.”
In addition to flu vaccinations, Ozarks Healthcare Pharmacies offer a variety of vaccines on a walk-in basis during regular pharmacy hours, including: flu, COVID-19, pneumonia, shingles, tetanus/diphtheria (Td), tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap), RSV, and Hepatitis A and B.
