Ronald Joe Denney, 70 years, 6 months, and 22 days old, passed away on September 25, 2026, at Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri with his family by his side.
On March 3, 1956, Joe was born in Douglas County, Missouri to Dencil and Emogene (Ellison) Denney.
Joe was a hard-working man who took pride in providing for and caring for his family. He spent many years working in concrete before moving into drywall, and he never shied away from hard work. Joe had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around, always finding a way to make people laugh. He didn’t need a long list of hobbies to make his life meaningful-he found joy in the simple things, especially spending time with the people he loved. His family meant everything to him, and his presence brought laughter, love, and warmth wherever he went.
To know Joe was to love Joe.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Dencil Denney and Emogene Jenkins; son, Travis Denney; brothers, Larry “Buck” Ellison and twin brother, Robert J. Denney; and sister, Robin J. (Denney) Moore.
Joe is survived by his significant other, Tammy Washburn; daughter, Briana Lascon and husband, Anthony; bonus son, Evan Washburn and wife, Tiffany; grandchildren, Madison, Macy, Maddex, Averly, Breland; bonus grandchildren, Wade and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Magnum, Remedy, Clayton, Ty’Lan, and JaLani; brothers, Rickey J. Denney, Roger J. Denney, and Randall J. Denney; sister, Ronda J. (Denney) Nash and her husband, Dean; and many other relatives and friends.
