Marion County officials are warning residents about scam text messages targeting voters across parts of Arkansas. According to the County Clerk’s Office, some voters have received texts claiming their voter registration has expired and directing them to click a link to re‑register. Authorities say the messages are fraudulent and urge residents not to click any links.
Anyone who receives one of these texts should contact the Marion County Clerk’s Office at 870‑449‑6226. Staff may request basic information and a screenshot of the message so it can be forwarded to the Arkansas Secretary of State, who will then submit it to the FBI for investigation.
Officials emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious election‑related messages and remind voters to verify any registration concerns through trusted, official sources.
