A local veterans’ organization is inviting the community to a fall vendor fair and membership drive later this month.
The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary will host an indoor vendor event on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1852 County Road 6070 in West Plains. The fair is open to the public and will feature a wide variety of handmade crafts, including woodworking, painting, crochet and knitting, jewelry, clothing, seasonal decorations, quilting, and other artisan items.
Breakfast will be available for $5 a plate with biscuits and gravy and tater tots, and lunch will be served for $7 a plate featuring chili and fixings. Coffee will be free throughout the day.
Organizers say the event is designed both to support local makers and to encourage new membership in the auxiliary. Vendors or attendees seeking more information can contact Mary at 916‑259‑6539.
