A Carter County woman was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after a two‑vehicle crash on U.S. 60, five miles west of Ellsinore. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 1:50 p.m. when a southbound 2019 Ford Fiesta entered the highway from a private drive and failed to yield to westbound traffic. The Fiesta struck a 2016 Cadillac, sending the Cadillac off the roadway, where it overturned.
Troopers report the Cadillac’s driver, a 61‑year‑old Ellsinore woman, suffered minor injuries and was transported by Carter County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing safety devices.
