West Plains, MO. – As of just before 7am this morning, the West Plains Utilities Department announced that a section of West Plains is now under a boil water advisory.
Affected areas include:

-
Olden Street, from Allen Street to Crestwood Circle
-
All of Crestwood Circle
-
North College Street to Session Street
-
North Howell Avenue from Olden Street to Myrtle Street.
The reason for the advisory has not been stated, and no ETA of resolution for the advisory has not been listed.
West Plains Utilities wishes to remind the public that a boil advisory is different than a boil order, in that this is due to a loss of water pressure due to repairs or a main break.
This means that while there is no confirmed threat of contamination, it is advised to boil all sources of water being used for consumption in the affected areas.
