Mizzou takes a 5-1 record into Oxford on Saturday for a matchup with ninth-ranked Ole Miss. The 13th-ranked Tigers are coming off a 27-6 win over Texas A&M, while the Rebels beat Vanderbilt 52-17 last weekend. Mizzou quarterback Austin Simmons returns to Oxford to face his former team, but the bigger challenge will be slowing down an Ole Miss offense led by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss. The Rebels have shown they can score against quality competition, and Mizzou will need a strong defensive performance to keep pace. The Tigers also need to establish their running game and protect Simmons against an Ole Miss defense that will look to pressure him. Mizzou has won seven of the eight meetings between these schools, but this will be a significant test on the road for Eli Drinkwitz and his team.
