11th Annual “Empty Bowls to Feed the Hungry” Event Provides to Local Food Bank

Mountain Home AR. – The Mountain Home High School will soon be holding an annual event meant to help provide food to local residents in need through their “Empty Bowls to Feed the Hungry” program.

The event starts with art students enrolled with the school creating ceramic bowls which ill later be filled with food and served to the public for tickets. The proceeds of this meal will then be put towards the operating costs of local food banks, which supply fresh food to those in need.

Last year this program raised over $52,000, in total funds raised equal out to over $136,000.

This event, now in its 11th year, will take place tomorrow, February 13th from 4pm to 7pm. Tickets are $15, and chili will be served.
