LITTLE ROCK – Lottery Director J. Eric Hagler announced the appointment of James (J.C.) Hedrick as IT Coordinator of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, which is a division of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
“This IT Coordinator title is a newly established position for us,” said Hagler. “J.C. will be supervising all IT-related projects and initiatives. He and his team will be responsible for developing the lottery’s enterprise-wide IT strategies.”
Hedrick has been a part of the lottery family since 2017 as IT Security Analyst coordinating security issues related to IT infrastructure and monitoring user access physically and digitally. The five years before joining the lottery, he was Director of Operations at Compsys, Inc. He also worked as IT Branch Manager at the Arkansas Crime Information Center and as an Emergency Medical Technician.
Born in Arizona, Hedrick moved to Central Arkansas as a teenager. He graduated from the American Military University’s Emergency and Disaster Management Program and has his Emergency Medical Technician certification from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine.
“I’m excited to start my new position, and I appreciate Director Hagler for trusting me with this opportunity,” Hedrick said. “IT plays a huge role in the lottery, and I look forward to working with all divisions to provide the support and direction we need to achieve our goals.”
