Yellville, AR. – A long-time tradition in Marion County will be taking place once again in October, as the annual Turkey Trot has been scheduled for October 9th and 10th.
Originally taking place in 1946, that makes this year the 80th anniversary for this two-day traditional festival. As the name suggests, this event is all about the native wild turkey, which was originally in decline when the festival began.
The schedule for festival proceedings has also been released, showing a wide variety of activities available, including a corn hole torunament, a variety of live music, street performances, and more.
The parade for this festival is planned for 10am on Saturday, October 10th.
Vendor registration is still taking place, but will only be open for the next two weeks.
