Featured Pet of the Day – “Liberty”

Liberty has been on quite a journey with Ozarks Pet Rescue, and we’re thrilled to share that she is now officially healthy enough to find her forever home!

 

Here’s Liberty’s story:

She came from a heartbreaking dog hoarding situation. When she was found, she was pregnant, severely underweight, and terrified of people. Sadly, she lost many of her puppies due to unknown causes—but she lovingly raised the surviving ones and has since been spayed and is ready for a new chapter.

 

Liberty is a very special girl who will need a patient and understanding home. She takes time to warm up to people (which is completely understandable given her past), but once she does, she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate.

 

– She doesn’t harm cats but isn’t especially fond of them.

– She’s done well with her foster’s teenagers, but her comfort with younger children is unknown.

– Because of her past, her behavior with other dogs is uncertain—a slow and careful introduction is highly recommended if you have dogs at home.

 

Liberty is only 1 year old, and despite everything she’s endured, she still has a puppy’s playful spirit! She loves her toys and enjoys playtime.
